About Erika

Early Life: Grit Built in Ufa

Born in the small Russian city of Ufa, Erika grew up in a family of medical innovators. Her grandmother was a microbiologist who worked with Nobel Prize-winner Elie Metchnikoff, the pioneer of probiotics. Her father, also MD in microbiology, was deeply passionate about beauty and health—a fascination Erika inherited early on.

Story

From personal struggle.
To a National Movement.

After moving to the U.S., the American diet destroyed my microbiome—fatigue, bloating, and skin issues stole who shes was. She’s tried everything. Doctors couldn’t help.

Coming from a family microbiologists, she knew – health starts from within. So together with her husband, they made kefir with her family’s scientific method.

She felt better, stronger—herself again. Erika’s friends tried it and begged for more. She wasn’t alone in this struggle and had to help others reclaim their health.

They started at farmers’ markets. No funding. No lab. Roadblock after roadblock. But she refused to give up on what that can change lives.

Long story short, KefirLab is now in thousands of stores across the U.S. helping tens of thousands of people reclaim and optimize their health.
